Animal Blood Resources International was formed with the merger of Animal Blood Bank, Inc. and Midwest Animal Blood Services, Inc. The leader in providing state of the art veterinary transfusion and blood banking products, ABRI takes its responsibility to the veterinary professional very seriously. Animal Blood Bank started over 20 years ago and was the first commercial blood bank for cats and dogs. We pride ourselves in always providing the highest quality blood products possible.
With the introduction of our new HemaGold line of leuko reduced, lyophilized and cryo preserved blood products, we continue our commitment to provide cutting edge transfusion products. See our product inserts for lyophilized albumin, lyophilized cryoprecipitate, and cryopreserved platelets. Leukoreduction is also available upon request.
All of our donors are blood typed and extensively screened for hematological infectious diseases. While ABRI maintains a small in house colony of both cats and dogs, most of our donors are privately owned. A combination of both closed colony and community donors are used. We have an active adoption program, and work closely with rescue organizations to help place dogs and cats in their forever homes. We are the only veterinary blood bank licensed by the USDA and the CA Dept. of Food and Ag. We have been inspected and approved for shipping by the Canadian Ministry of Agriculture.
With two locations on the East and West coasts, we service the entire United States and can easily provide international shipping.
